Celebrating the Fourth of July

We had a pretty quite Fourth of July on July 4th.  Candace did go out of her way to make hamburgers, Jell-O, and other Fourth-type food for us.  It was WONDERFUL to have those familiar smells in the apartment!  She even spent $15 so we can could have our traditional fruit salad.  It was worth it!

She also discovered that the American exPat community was throwing a large celebration a few days later on Saturday.  We decided to go.  I’m sure glad we did!  It was probably one of the best patriotic celebrations we’ve done!

Tons of activities for the kids to do.  Live bands.  Food.

We had a blast face painting and figurine painting.  We all got in on the fun.

I liked my oldest’s Cosmo Mobile.  Glad to see his college allegiances are correctly aligned early on.  Smile

A post-NBA player has a camp in Bangkok and did a free session for the kids.  They also had marines come and do a flag ceremony, the local Embassador came to speak, and much more.

So on the other side of the world, we felt very patriotic and proud of our American heritage!
