Some milestones for the last 2 weeks:
- We finished all of the children's medical clearance!
- We setup our virtual mailbox forwarding (so we can have a US address and get our mail electronically...pretty cool)
- Finished our entire house inventory (storage, air shipment, sea shipment, and checked bags). What an effort between Candace and me (and Mom Ball did the kitchen while she was here)
- Tested our IP phone (MagicJack) while in Brazil on business. Works great, and can even use on iPads. Highly recommend this.
- Worked interim living exceptions so we can actually get our 18+ bags to the airport. I don't think exPat services is used to dealing with families our size. :-)
- Open house went well - had several families stop by. One family said they'd make an offer this week, though we're still waiting to hear....
- Finalized power of attorney should we need it while overseas
- Listed cars for sale
We feel like we're getting close to the end of the LONG to-do list. Happy, happy day.
The next 3-4 weeks will be pretty crazy as the packers come, we sell the house and cars and appliances. We beginning to allow ourselves to start to say good-bye to life as we know it, but it's been hard to allow our minds the time to do this amongst all the hustle and bustle of getting ready.
Here's a photo of me in Brazil this week having played soccer with a bunch of guys from work. I had a blast!

Wow, you guys have been so busy! We have used MagicJack for the last 5 years and we love it! We have the one that plugs into the wall...and one for the computer when we travel, though we could use the same one. We take it to Canada and there is no problems. Great invention! Good luck these next few weeks!
