After resting up, we started off on the trail. To start with, it was flat and swept sand (I know, poor person who gets to sweep that trail constantly) but quickly went up, UP, UP!
We stopped several times to drink water and take in the beautiful nature around us:
After a lot of climbing we made it to the top and were THRILLED to run into a family of monkeys. They were playing, making noise, and having all sorts of fun. It was one of the highlights of the trip for me:
We went down the trail a little ways and quickly found ourselves in an amazing, HUGE cave, Phraya Nakhon. It was one of the most beautiful scenes in nature I’ve seen. Between the jungle, sunlight, and cave formations, we decided it should be the 9th wonder of the world. You decide:
The hike back down was easier (our youngest got to ride my on my back most of the way). Next post about our great Thai lunch on the beach, jelly fish, boats, and ride home…
